Connect Olivia
Keep your number. Let Olivia pick up.
You don't change your phone number or your provider. Your phone rings as usual, and if nobody answers within about 15 seconds, the call moves to Olivia. Setting it up takes one code and two minutes.
How it works
- 1
Your phone rings first
Your team answers as usual. Olivia never takes a call you pick up.
- 2
No answer in 15 seconds?
Your provider forwards the call to Olivia's number. The same happens when you're busy or out of coverage, if you turn those on too.
- 3
Olivia takes it from there
She answers, helps the caller and sends you the details. Your caller never knows the call was forwarded.
Business mobile
These codes work on Telstra, Optus and Vodafone and on most providers that use their networks. Enter Olivia's number below and the codes fill themselves in. Then type a code into your phone's dialler and press Call.
Telstra
The codes above work on Telstra mobiles. You can wait 15, 20, 25 or 30 seconds before the call moves to Olivia: change the 15 in the first code. If a code is rejected, set "Divert when unanswered" in the My Telstra app.
Optus
Optus uses the same codes: 61 for no answer, 67 for busy, 62 for no coverage. You can also set diversions in the My Optus app under call diversions.
Vodafone
Works on postpaid plans. Prepaid Vodafone services can't forward calls to another number. If the delay is ignored, set "Forward when unanswered" and its delay in your phone's call settings or in My Vodafone.
On an iPhone, Settings → Phone → Call Forwarding forwards every call straight away, so Olivia would answer before your team. Use the codes above instead. They set forwarding only when you don't answer. On Android, open the Phone app → Settings → Calls → Call forwarding → "Forward when unanswered".
Landline, nbn or office phone system
Landline or nbn home phone
Most Australian providers use these codes on a fixed line. Dial them from the phone itself:
- No answer:
*61then Olivia's number, then# - Busy:
*24then Olivia's number, then# - Turn off:
#61#or#24#
The waiting time on a landline is set by your provider, usually around 20 seconds. Codes differ between providers, so if they don't work, ask your provider to "divert on no answer and busy" to Olivia's number.
Office phone system (PBX, VoIP, 3CX, Teams)
Forwarding is set in your phone system's admin panel, not with codes. Ask your IT person or phone provider to:
- forward unanswered calls after 15 seconds to Olivia's number;
- optionally forward calls when all lines are busy and after hours;
- keep the caller's number when forwarding (caller ID pass-through), so Olivia can see who's calling.

About call costs. Your provider usually charges a forwarded call like a normal call from your phone to Olivia's number. Check your plan if you're not sure.
